Union Public Schools Honored

The Union Public Schools Communications Department was awarded six, first-place awards for print, video and web projects during the annual Oklahoma School Public Relations Association (OKSPRA ) conference.

Union Board Set for Another Year

Members of the Union Board of Education bring the district together by ensuring communication, analyzing decisions and providing responsible leadership. This year brings the promise of continued support to the school district through the dedication of the board members. With February’s reelection of Ed Payton, the board is again set for another year.

Redskins 9th Grade White Takes Championship

The Union Boys 9th Grade White basketball team defeated Owasso 54-48 to take home the 2010 9th Grade Frontier Valley Conference championship.

Skins to Cane

Exciting things are happening at the University of Tulsa’s Chapman Stadium. A new offensive coordinator has added a spark.

Union Sports Physicals Offered

Students must turn in a completed physical form dated after May 1 to the coach at the time of tryouts for the 2010-2011 school year. There will be no exceptions. Tryout schedules will be posted when applicable.

YouthArts! to Begin in April

Union will host the 31st annual YouthArts! April 19 through May 1, which is one of the state’s longest running arts festivals, showcasing the artistry of Union students.
YouthArts! provides a showcase platform for students outside of the classroom, featuring visual art from every school from paintings to drawings to photography to ceramics in an exhibit at the UMAC.

Union 8th Grade Champs

The Union Boys 8th Grade Red basketball team brought home the 8th Grade Division 1 Frontier Valley Conference championship with a win over Owasso 44-30. The team’s season record was 20-1.

Union Cheer Wins Nationals

The Union Varsity Cheerleaders won the Universal Cheerleaders Association National Champion-ship at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla. this month. The squad beat 16 other teams in the Super Varsity division.
