Union 8th Grade Champs
The Union Boys 8th Grade Red basketball team brought home the 8th Grade Division 1 Frontier Valley Conference championship with a win over Owasso 44-30. The team’s season record was 20-1.
To Union varsity basketball coach, Rudy Garcia’s delight, three of the players on the 8th grade Red team are over 6’3,” Carson Meier, Ben Kramer and Jeffery Mead.
The team is as rich in talent as it is in height. Four of the boys on this team also play on a local AAU squad, the Tulsa Wildcats, Meier, Mead, Bain Wannemacher and Alex Barton.
