ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS: A total of 15 seniors at Union High School have signed letters of intent to attend colleges on athletic scholarships. Three signed letters in November, while the other 12 participated in National Signing Day Feb. 6.

Twelve Union seniors participated in National Signing Day Feb. 6. On this day, high school seniors across the country sign their letters of intent, accepting athletic scholarship offers from colleges.
Those signing letters of intent included: Rachel Bailey, to play softball at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College; Paige Johnson, to play softball at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College; Caitlin Martin, to play soccer at John Brown University; Hillary Cockrell, to play soccer at Drury University; Reggie Hardy, to play soccer at the University of Central Arkansas; Jason Brooks, to play soccer at the University of Memphis; Sara Vaughn, to compete in cross country and track at the University of Alabama; Tress Way, to play football at the University of Oklahoma; Stephen Ruempolhamer to play football at Iowa State; Tyler Atkinson, to play football at Fort Hays State University; Brandon Rogers, to play football at Northern Illinois University; and Andrew Zumwalde, to play football at Emporia State University.
In addition, three Union seniors signed letters of intent on Nov. 14, 2007. Lindsey Palmer signed to play basketball at Baylor University; Eric West signed to play tennis at Southern Illinois University; and Stephen Carney signed to play golf at the University of Tulsa.
