TPS Stars Showcased at OCA All-State Games
Tulsa Public Schools has a rich tradition of quality athletics. The 2010 senior class was a fantastic representation of how Tulsa continues to produce top athletes.
The following athletes represented Tulsa Public Schools at the 2010 Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State games.
In volleyball, Tyler Cockrell from Booker T. Washington.
Football had the highest concentration of TPS athletes. Larone Fitzgerald, East Central. Jared Farrell, Central. Kerry Burks, McLain. Justin Fogle, Hale. Eric Bennett, BTW. Demarco Cobbs, Central. Nether Fitzgerald, Bennett nor Cobbs played in the All-State game.
On the baseball diamond was Joe McGee from BTW.
Basketball players included Tharone Chilton, BTW; Desmond Butler, Edison; and Cameron Downing, Memorial (did not play).
On the Tennis court was Evan McElwain from BTW.
The 2010-11 school year looks like it will be another productive athletic year for TPS.
