Mike Parrish, seven year head coach at Edison, recently discussed the Eagles boy’s basketball team, “we want to build on last year’s success by making our fourth straight appearance to the state tournament. We have some unfinished business to take care of from last year.

Parrish adds, “After losing that final championship game, I had several sleepless nights. When you are fortunate enough to make it that far, you must take advantage of the opportunity. All three of our seniors have played in all of those state tournament games these past three years. They are working hard to make it their fourth appearance and win the gold ball.”

At press time, the Eagles are competing well in conference play and are presently ranked number one. However, they lost at Memorial, which is a tough place to play.

The three seniors are Clyde Hill, Desmond Butler and Creed Flowers.

The other impact players are juniors Steven Hamilton and Drew Craig and sophomore D. J. Mahone.
