Columbus Elementary Receives Gift

A strong supporter of education, Arvest Bank presented a $10,000 check to Tulsa?s Columbus Elementary, 10620 E. 27th St., on behalf of the Walton Family Foundation on May 6. The funds will be used toward purchasing instruments and equipment for the Fine Arts department.
?We?re always thrilled to help support our local schools,? said Don Walker, president and CEO for Arvest Bank – Tulsa. ?And by supporting the Fine Arts department, we hope to be encouraging these young students toward a lifelong love for music and the arts.?
Purchases to expand the Fine Arts department will include classical guitars, electronic drums, sound systems, Orff instruments, music stands and microphones. Columbus Elementary is a part of Arvest Bank?s Adopt a School program.
