Owasso Elite Gymnastics Produces Champions
LEAPS AND BOUNDS: Karly Judkins and Will Nunes have already achieved outstanding levels in gymnastics not only at their gymnasium in Owasso but around the world. Judkins and Nunes are preparing to represent the United States at the World Age-Group Championships in Russia.
Xtreme Elite Trampoline and Power Tumbling, also known as Owasso Elite Gymnastics, recently announced that two of their athletes, Karly Judkins and Will Nunes were selected for the top honor of representing the United States at the World Age-Group Championships. The event will take place in St. Petersburg, Russia on Nov. 14 through Nov. 22. The World Championships and the WAG Championships is where the most talented power tumbling athletes in the world compete for international titles and recognition.
Judkins is one of the top-ranked junior elite power tumblers in the country. Judkins was one of four athletes named to represent the United States after capturing a silver medal at the Final Selection Event in Las Vegas Nevada Sept. 24 and 25. Nunes was also selected after receiving the bronze medal on the floor.
The success that Judkins and Nunes have achieved is well earned through years of dedicated hard work and first-rate training. Judkins is on the U.S.A. Gymnastics Junior Olympic National Team and is currently ranked third in the nation and second in her 15-16 year age group. Judkins is also a sophomore and varsity cheerleader at Jenks High School. Nunes is a senior at Wright Christian Academy and the Elite Challenge Age Group National Champion. Nunes is also second in his 17-18 year age group and a Region Three Champion.
Judkins and Nunes have been fortunate to be coached by Greg Baldridge and Dave Trompler, owners of Owasso Elite Gymnastics, Cheer and Power Tumbling. Baldridge and Trompler are highly regarded and respected coaches of elite and nationally recognized athletes. Combined, they hold over 50 National titles, have coached numerous Trampoline and Power Tumbling National Champions, and have over 45 years of combined experience coaching in gymnastics, power tumbling and cheerleading.
