Once again, the Owasso Chamber of Commerce is presenting Trail Days, a celebration of Owasso’s rich heritage. The event will be held May 7-10. The Trail Days carnival will begin Thursday night, May 7 and will run through Sunday, May 10. On Friday and Saturday nights, the IPRA World Championship Rodeo, presented by the Owasso Roundup Club, will be held at 8 p.m. at McCarty Park. Friday is also Bingo Night at the Bailey Education Center starting at 6:30pm.
Trail Days really gets going on Saturday with the Trail Days Parade in downtown Owasso at 9 a.m. on Owasso’s Main Street. Immediately following the parade, the second Annual Trail Days Trail Run will take place at the Owasso YMCA. Also following the parade, a wide range of events will begin at the Owasso 6th Grade Center. Events include the Home & Business Show, various kids’ activities and Little Miss and Mister Trail Days contest for newborns through four years of age, which will begin at 11 a.m. (It is open to all communities).
Continuing at the 6th Grade Center, Pet Fest begins at 2 p.m., with costume contests and many giveaways. The carnival featuring rides, games, funnel cakes and corn dogs will remain open until Sunday evening. Participants may ride all the rides as many times as they would like during any one session with a $15 advance discount ticket.
