Jenks Cheer Takes State
In the history of the OSSAA Cheerleading competitions, Jenks cheer has come close but has never won. That all changed recently at the OSSAA 6A State Cheerleading Competition held in Skiatook. While competing against the best teams in the state, Jenks won with a seven point lead on Putnam City North who has held the title since 2008. With the event being held on Jenks homecoming weekend, nothing could have been better than winning the state title. Edmond North received 3rd place while Union placed 4th. The Jenks Cheerleaders and staff work very hard every year for this competition and this year it truly showed.
