Jake Alexander Goes Worldwide

JAKE ALEXANDER

Trojan pride runs deep. This is in large part due to outstanding student athletes such as Jake Alexander.

Alexander was instrumental in the Trojans’ 2009 football success and he has been recognized for it; the 6’2” 270 lb. center was listed on the All-State team, was Tulsa World’s All-Metro Player of the Year and has been named to the USA Football’s Junior National Team (JNT).

The JNT will compete in USA Football’s “Team USA vs. The World” game in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., on Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. and will be televised live by NFL Network.

The game matches USA Football’s 2010 JNT, consisting of 45 of the country’s top high school seniors, against a “World” team composed of 45 of the best players age 19 and under from outside the United States spanning eight countries on four continents.
USA Football is the sport’s national governing body on youth and amateur levels.

USA Football’s “Team USA vs. The World” game is sanctioned by the International Federation of American Football, a Paris-based federation composed of 57 countries and dedicated solely to American football.

USA Football’s JNT is led by head coach Chris Merritt of Miami’s Christopher Columbus High School. “These young men were hand-selected to represent our country as elite athletes and exceptional ambassadors,” says Merritt.

Ranked the No. 10 center prospect nationally by Rivals.com, Alexander has committed to the University of Tulsa.
