Lifelong Jenks Resident Honored

Jenks resident, Linda George, celebrated her 100th birthday with family, friends and the Jenks community on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 2-4 p.m. in the Jenks City Hall Community Room, 211 N. Elm St.

George is a retired school teacher from Jenks Public Schools and remains active in the Jenks Chamber Ambassadors, First United Methodist Church, Jenks Lion’s Club and the Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority.

Her father was the owner of one of the first general merchandise stores in Jenks called “George’s Cash Store” and also served as a former mayor of Jenks. George has remained a Jenks lifer and continues to give back to the community that she loves.

On her very special birthday, the Jenks community honored and celebrated George’s life.
