Jenks City Council Elections
The April Jenks City Council elections have resulted in two incumbents and a new councilman in Ward 3. Kevin Rowland has been elected at the new Ward 3 counselor. Mayor Vic Vreeland has been reelected as an at large member. Mayor Vreeland has served the council for 20 years. Jim Aitkenhead will have a fourth term representing Ward 4 after a very tight race with challenger Darlene Williams. After the election, the elected officials expressed concern for the low voter turnout.
