The Jenks Trojan Varsity Ice Hockey team recently won the Tulsa City Championship by defeating the Bishop Kelley Comets March 3. This marks the third year in a row Jenks has finished in first place. Jenks has won the City Championship 11 of the last 14 years. The Trojans outlasted the Comets in a best two out of three series.

Jenks won the first game 7-2, but the Comets came back strong and won the second game 3-1. In the final game, Jenks was down 0-2 but fought back to tie the game going into the last period. The Trojans scored their winning goal during the final minutes of the game, winning 4-2. Special recognition was given to team captain and senior Spencer Wilson, along with fellow seniors and assistant captains Lou Hoffmeister, Shane Khalaf and Cole Cummins as well as goalie Colton Ishmael. Ex-Tulsa Oiler Sly Naud serves at the Jenks head coach. In addition, the Jenks Junior Varsity Ice Hockey team finished at second place in their league.
