Citizens Security Bank has enhanced its presence in the growing Jenks School District area with plans to build a new 5,000- to 5,500-square-foot location at 221 S. Elm. The bank is currently operating a temporary location at 224 N. Sixth. The new building should be completed by the end of this year with construction starting in March, according to bank officials.

The downtown Jenks location complements the CSB bank at East 81st Street and South Yale Avenue that opened in December, giving the Jenks District area two convenient locations.

Citizens Security Bank has shown amazing growth over the past several years and now has full service banking facilities in Bixby, Glenpool, Broken Arrow, South Tulsa, Okmulgee, Haskell, and Muskogee along with a wide network of ATMs. CSB’s main headquarters is a beautiful 22,000 square foot facility located in Bixby at 148th Street and Memorial Drive. The building, completed in 1999, has been featured in numerous publications as a trendsetter for the banking industry.

Ken Gray, the market president for Jenks, says that the bank will employ about 10 people and will have four drive-through lanes and an ATM.

Gray adds that the bank will have many innovative and high-tech features. He explains that customers will be greeted when they walk into the bank. He says that rather than walking up to a teller station and waiting in line, customers will be taken to a teller pod, a concept more popular on the East and West coasts.

Gray says, “When a person comes into our bank, we want to make sure they experience an atmosphere of friendliness and courtesy. When they walk out, we want to make sure they walk out happy. I’m convinced that if we’re just able to get people to walk in the door, we’re going to keep them.”

The branch also will have a high-tech feel, he explains, with a coffee bar area where people can use their laptops and will also feature a high-tech loan venue in which customers sit down and pull up a screen that will provide them with loan information.
As of June 30, 2007 Citizens Security was the 12th largest bank in the Tulsa area, based on deposits of $335.1 million and 2.11 percent of the market share, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

Citizens Security bank is growing because of its customer service. The bank carries its promise to its customers on the backs of all its business cards:

“We will make every effort to deliver the best financial solutions for every individual, family and business so that every Citizens Security Bank and Trust Company customer has the best financial opportunity to live a better life.”
