COMMITTMENT TO QUALITY: Medical Director Dr. Keith Wilson is dedicated to offering Springer Clinic patients the very best in specialty care. Since the beginning of the year, Springer Clinic has added four new specialists, including Dr. Andrew Goldberg, Dr. Kris Canfield, Dr. Robert Mammana, and Dr. Thomas Rickner.

Springer Clinic is a leader in the greater Tulsa healthcare industry. With locations throughout the metro area, it strives to make it easy for patients to receive the care they need.

Springer Clinic also staffs specialists to provide care for nearly any possible healthcare need and continually seeks to add new services to its repertoire.

“Springer Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic,” notes Dr. Keith Wilson, medical director for Springer Clinic. “We provide not only primary care and internal medicine, but we have specialists to meet our patients’ needs without having to seek care from an outside source.”

In the past eight months, Springer Clinic has added four new physicians to its staff. Some offer new services, while others help accommodate the clinic’s growing patient base.

One of the new specialists, Dr. Thomas Rickner, is a board certified urologist who joined Springer Clinic in January. “Dr. Rickner has an active practice and has implemented new diagnostic techniques that we were not previously able to offer,” notes Dr. Wilson.

Dr. Rickner offers general urology services including urinary stone treatment and prevention, treats male and female incontinence, and offers minimally invasive treatment of BPH. He attended the Indiana University School of Medicine and previously worked at the Toccoa Clinic in Toccoa, Georgia. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Tulsa County Medical Society, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, the American Urologic Association, the Georgia Urologic Association, and the Endourological Society.

Dr. Robert Mammana, a cardiovascular thoracic surgeon, joined Springer Clinic in February. He offers cardiac services including on and off pump coronary bypass surgery, valvular repair and replacement surgery, laser revascularization, and radio ablation; thoracic procedures for lung and esophageal cancer and lung volume reduction surgery for patients with emphysema; and vascular procedures including carotid artery surgery, peripheral vascular surgery, and aortic aneurysm repair surgery.

“Dr. Mammana had been in the Tulsa-area community for several years before coming to Springer Clinic,” notes Dr. Wilson. Dr. Mammana previously was in private practice from August 1999 to January 2004 and was with Cardiovascular Surgical Specialists from January 1997 to August 1999.

Dr. Mammana attended the Georgetown University Medical School and is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, the American Medical Association, the Oklahoma State Medical Society, the Tulsa County Medical Society, the American College of Surgeons, and the Association of Academic Surgeons.

Dr. Andrew Goldberg is a pulmonologist and internal medicine specialist who joined Springer Clinic in March. Dr. Goldberg cares for patients with lung diseases, including asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, chronic bronchitis and offers evaluation of sleep disorders, unexplained cough, and other lung conditions. He also offers a fiber optic bronchoscopy procedure and manages patients in the intensive care unit.

Dr. Goldberg obtained his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Connecticut and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in critical care and pulmonary disease. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Oklahoma State Medical Society, the Tulsa County Medical Society, the American College of Physicians, and the American Thoracic Society. Prior to joining Springer Clinic, he was in private practice in Boulder City, Nevada, and was a specialist at the Lung Center of Nevada in Las Vegas.

The fourth doctor to recently join Springer Clinic is Dr. Kris Canfield, a general surgeon who performs inpatient and outpatient procedures. Dr. Canfield joined Springer Clinic in mid-July after completing his residency at the Grand Rapids/Michigan State University Hospital. He obtained his degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Dr. Canfield is board eligible and is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, and the Tulsa County Medical Society.

All four of these specialists have their offices at Springer Clinic’s main location at 6160 S. Yale Ave.

“As Springer Clinic grows, we need more specialists to provide care to our patients,” comments Dr. Wilson. “We want to offer our patients the best possible care and service by adding new services and by adding new recruits and replacements. I think it speaks favorably of our clinic that despite the slow economy, we are growing and are able to continually improve our level of care by adding new specialists.”
