Future Shock Comics Hits the Big Time

LOS ANGELES – Aug. 11, 2010 – There’s no time like the future! That’s what the Chicago Tribune has decided with its purchase of the self-syndicated comic strip “Future Shock.” The daily cartoon, an off-beat look at science, technology and the world of tomorrow, was created by brothers Jim McGreal, a former assistant to Dale Messick on the Brenda Starr comic strip, and Pat McGreal, a former writer for David Letterman and Rosie O’Donnell.

The strip first appeared in Chicago’s own Beverly Villager and now runs in newspapers from Los Angeles to Chicago. In July, 2010, it appeared in the prestigious science magazine Physics Today.

The Chicago Tribune, ranked 9th among major newspapers, has a daily circulation of 516,032. The start date for the cartoon’s publication to be announced.

For more information about “Future Shock” contact Patrick McGreal at 323-256-5282 or visit futureshockcomics.com.
