Shock Completes 1st Season
IVORY LATTA
HARRY LENTZ for GTR Newspapers
The first Tulsa major league basketball season is in the books. It was gruesome at times, joyous at others, but the crowds were decent and appreciative of the Shock’s efforts on the court.
One thing is certain, it was an historic season, simply because of the team being the first major league team in town. Shanna Crossley has been the glue of this innaugural team. Crossley also was the most accurate from behind the 3-point arc.
Highlights include Ivory Latta’s mid-season addition to Tulsa. She hit the court hard, adding a much-needed spark. Latta leads the team, averaging 12.4 ppg and just under four assists per game.
Sholanda Robinson was a delight to watch. She has a huge presence on the court, affecting play after play.
