Local Anonymous Donor to Match Grant Funds for Owasso Charity
A local anonymous donor will match funds received by Owasso Community Resources through grant money on a dollar-for-dollar basis through December 31, 2010. Owasso Community Resources announced the program, designed to increase the dollars coming into the organization, on June 21, 2010.
Funds will be matched up to $100,000 for all grants received by Owasso Community Resources from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010. Grants approved during 2010 but not fully funded until 2011 are also included in the program. Not included in the program are donations from individuals and yearly funding provided by Tulsa Area United Way.
This program is designed to encourage giving to Owasso Community Resources by many foundations and corporations that offer funding to non-profit organizations but do not yet award them to the local charity. Nadia Guevara, the Executive Director of the organization, and the Board of Directors of OCR hopes this will help the organization grow to enable it to serve the increased number of people in the Owasso-Collinsville area in need of their services.
Owasso Community Resources is a non-profit organization located in Owasso, Oklahoma. The organization serves Owasso and Collinsville families with emergency utility assistance, an emergency food pantry, counseling services, and annual programs and events throughout the year.
