Emily Avery Joins GTR
EMILY AVERY
Emily M. Avery has joined Greater Tulsa Reporter Newspapers as a marketing representative, according to GTR Publisher D. Forrest Cameron and GTR Vice President of Marketing Victor M. Bailey.
Avery, a graduate of Jenks High School, holds a 2010 Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where she majored in marketing and minored in management.
Avery served as an advertising executive for OSU’s Daily O’Collegian while she was in college. While there she designed and sold display ads while meeting daily publishing deadlines. She also served a marketing intern for both United States Beef Corporation and Berendsen Fluid Power.
She was involved in campus leadership at OSU in a Panhellenic sorority, where she planned the Spring Sisterhood Retreat for all 130 chapter members.
Her achievements at OSU included the Mark of Excellence at The Daily O’Collegian, as well as being honored as the Employee of the Month.
Cameron says, “We are very honored to have someone the quality of Emily join the GTR team, as we continue to work hard for our advertisers and readers to bring the best in local targeted news.”
