Recycling Customers to Receive Two Additional Pickups
Beginning June 1, City of Tulsa recycling customers will have the opportunity for their curbside recyclable collections to be made every two weeks instead of twice a month. That will result in two additional pickups per year for each of Tulsa’s 14,000 curbside recycling customers.
This great benefit for recycling customers is a result of the City of Tulsa awarding the contract for curbside collection of recyclable materials to RR Waste Solutions. That service has been provided by TRI Inc. since the program’s inception.
RR Waste Solutions will apportion the city into 10 collection routes. Letters are being mailed to customers on each route to explain changes in pickup days.
Customers will continue to use the same bins and the same materials are eligible for recycling, which include:
Newspapers
Junk Mail
Magazines
Office Paper
Plastics (Labeled 1 and 2)
Glass
Aluminum
