Google is planning to build and test ultra-high speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations across the country. They will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today, over 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home connections. It would potentially offer service to at least 500,000 Tulsans.
Tulsa is in the running, but to be selected, community support is needed. By filling out a survey, before March 26, Tulsa will be one step closer to improving our broadband network and creating economic development opportunities in all areas of our city. A Google account is needed to participate, but is free to sign-up.
By receiving this network, Tulsans and Tulsa businesses would improve their internet access and promote Tulsa as a city on the cutting edge of communication and technology. For more information and to fill out the community support survey, visit http://www.google.com/appserve/fiberrfi.
