Tulsa’s Vocal Pride Foundation (VPF), which consists of the Council Oak Men’s Chorale and Women of Council Oak, recently paid tribute to Jackie Cooper Imports, its owners Greg Kach and Jack Cooper and its team of nearly 160 men and women. The Tulsa automotive dealership was selected as the 2004 “Dan Travis Heart and Hand Award” recipient in appreciation of the tremendous and consistent support the dealership has given the VPF over the past two years.
VPF President Scott Malloy cited Jackie Cooper Imports’ generosity and willingness to share its financial resources, community networks and creative, supportive manpower to promote the Council Oak Men’s Chorale and Women of Council Oak as playing a key role in the organizations’ continued growth.
Established in 2001 to celebrate the exceptional life and contributions of the late Dan Travis, the “Dan Travis Heart and Hand Award” is given in acknowledgement of the extraordinary gifts of time and talent made by community members and organizations to extend the success of the foundation.
“We owe a debt of gratitude to Jackie Cooper Imports for partnering with us and championing our efforts,” said Malloy. “It is no coincidence that Vocal Pride Foundation is completing its most successful and celebrated season this year.”
“The whole Jackie Cooper Imports team is honored to receive the ‘Dan Travis Heart and Hand Award’” says Managing Partner Greg Kach. The Tulsa company maintains a diversified community involvement, supporting many human services, education and arts programs. “Throughout our company, each of us is committed to supporting and enriching a community environment in which our customers and our family can thrive.”
