Rob Crissinger, APR, has been named senior account executive for Schnake Turnbo Frank PR in the firm’s Oklahoma City office. Crissinger joins the Tulsa-based public relations firm from Jordan Associates, where he served as director of media relations.

Crissinger has more than seven years of PR experience, including serving as research director at Saxum Strategic Communications and as public information officer at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Crissinger received his bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from the University of Central Oklahoma.

First Fidelity Bank has promoted Thomas Crowe to be office manager at the bank’s newest Tulsa location at 21st Street and Boulder. He brings more than five years of banking experience to his position. As office manager, Crowe will be responsible for providing sales management, administrative, operational and supervisory support. Crowe is a member of Tulsa’s Young Professionals and a graduate of Northeastern State University. He also is a board intern with Kendall-Whittier Incorporated. Previously, Crowe served as a personal banking representative at First Fidelity’s Signal Hill office in South Tulsa.

TTCU Credit Union announced the promotion of Jerry Hoopert to chief administrative officer. Hoopert will have the primary res-ponsibility for implementing the branch network expansion plan, facilities management, infrastructure development and capital facility improvement projects. Hoopert joined TTCU as a loan officer in 1980 and has held several supervisory and management positions. He received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Tulsa in 1980 and worked for First National Bank and Trust Company before joining TTCU. Hoopert was promoted to his new position from his most recent assignment as vice president of member services and has been employed by TTCU for 28 years.

TTCU Credit Union announced the promotion of Jack Anthony to main branch manager. His primary responsibility will be to oversee the operations of the main branch located at 3720 E. 31st St. in Tulsa. Anthony joined TTCU as a loan counselor in May 1985. He has held several supervisory and management positions such as loan officer and vice president of human resources. Anthony’s previous position was as branch manager of the southeast branch location. He received a degree in business administration from the University of Tulsa in 1984 when he started working at TTCU.

TTCU Credit Union also announced John Belty as the new branch manager of the southeast branch location. He will have the primary responsibility for overseeing the operations of the southeast branch. Belty is a recent graduate of the University of Phoenix where he completed his Masters Degree in business administration. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in finance from Oklahoma State University. Belty has more than 15 years banking experience.

Oklahoma Safety Equipment Co., Inc. has appointed Mathieu Hawksworth as regional sales manager. Hawksworth will be handling the Great Lakes region as well as Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia and Kentucky, assisting customers and manufacturing representatives with technical information and support. Before his position at Oseco, Hawksworth was responsible for sales and marketing for Air Power Systems. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University.

Oklahoma State University-Tulsa announced the officers elected to the board of trustees for the 2009 fiscal year. Ed Keller, chairman of Summit Bank, will serve as chair; Joel Sander, finance officer for Tulsa County Clerk’s Office will serve as vice chair; and Larry Mocha, president and CEO of Tulsa-based Apsco Inc, will serve as secretary. Other trustees include Glenda Love, executive director of the Ronald McDonald House; Calvin Anthony, pharmacist and businessman; Jim Goodwin, attorney and newspaper publisher; Jay Helm, real estate developer; Michael Johnson, retired senior vice president and chief administrative officer for Williams; and Henry Primeaux, president of Primeaux Kia. Appointed by the Governor for a term of seven years, the trustees oversee the university’s operations.

Jean Ann Hudson Esq. has been promoted to Deputy City Attorney for the Tulsa City Attorney’s Office. Hudson serves as legal counsel and with the city attorney directs a staff of 20 attorneys on all municipal issues for the City of Tulsa and its boards, authorities and commissions. Hudson previously managed the human resources/contracts division, and prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office, held positions as in-house counsel for a financial services company and attorney with a major Tulsa law firm.

Bailey Medical Center announced the hiring of ophthalmologist Robert D. Bales, M.D., and optometrist, Jason Ellen, O.D. Bales specializes in cataract surgery and glaucoma care and is associated with BVA Advanced Eye Care, an Edmond-based medical and surgical eye care group with locations in more than 40 communities across Oklahoma.

Bales completed his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. A native of Bray, Okla., Bales graduated from the University of Oklahoma and the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He received the 2002 Recipient of the Brent W. Gilson Memorial Award, conferred by Christian Medical and Dental Associations. Bales is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has participated in numerous overseas medical missions.

Ellen is the clinical director of BVA Advanced Eye Care. He received his bachelor’s from Southern Arkansas University and completed his Doctor of Optometry at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Ellen’s ocular disease and refractive surgery residency was completed at BVA and TLC Laser Eye Center in Oklahoma City. Ellen maintains active memberships in the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians, the American Optometric Association, the International Society of Refractive Surgery and is a frequent lecturer at local, state and national optometric conventions. He was named the 2005 Outstanding Young Optometric Physician.

Commerce Bank announced the promotion of Sarah Barrett as branch manager of the bank’s two Tulsa locations. Barrett brings 11 years in banking, finance and customer service to the position. She began her career in banking as a teller at Commerce in 1997. Most recently, as financial services manager, Barrett trained financial service representatives, managed customer accounts including retirement accounts and money market accounts and assisted customers in applying for loans. In her new role, she will be responsible for staff management, customer service and business development. Barrett will use her experience and ability to crunch numbers combined with her strong sales, people-management and customer-service skills to oversee Commerce’s two Tulsa locations at 6655 S. Lewis Ave. and 7633 E. 63rd Place.

Mayor Kathy Taylor announced the retirement of Deputy Mayor Tom Baker from the City of Tulsa. Baker’s 34-year career with the Tulsa Fire Department began as a cadet and culminated in his earning the top post as fire chief. He ran successfully for the Tulsa City Council and served District 4 from 2002 to 2006, at which time he joined the administration of Mayor Kathy Taylor in the role of deputy mayor.
