Donate blood with Oklahoma Blood Institute Tulsa Center and Creek Nation Casino will give donors a shot at winning a shiny red 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
The drive began May 2 and lasts through Aug. 16. Donations can be made at OBI Tulsa Center, 4601 E 81st St., or at a northeast Oklahoma area mobile blood drive. Ten finalists will be drawn from among the individuals who donate within this time period.
This promotional partnership is Creek Nation Casino’s way to recognize the winning spirit of community members who faithfully donate blood throughout the summer to help ensure OBI has enough blood to take care of every patient’s need.
To kick-off the promotion, Creek Nation Casino hosted a “First Chance To Win” blood drive on May 2. On Aug. 23, Creek Nation Casino will host a “Last Chance To Win” blood drive from 12-6 p.m. One finalist’s name, the eleventh finalist, will be drawn exclusively from among the individuals who donate on this day at this drive.
The final drawing will be held at 7 p.m. on Aug. 23 and one of the 11 finalists will drive away with the Jeep in go-anywhere style. The remaining ten finalists will receive $100 casino cash consolation prizes.
Every donor will receive $5 in Rewards play for use in the casino, a free “OBI Donate and Drive” T-shirt, Members for Life points for use in the OBI online store, as well as free health check readings on body temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, cholesterol and iron levels.
“We appreciate the opportunity to partner with Creek Nation Casino,” says John Armitage, M.D., president and CEO of Oklahoma Blood Institute. “Their commitment to work with us through this summer, a time when it is difficult to maintain blood inventories, is an incredible gift to thousands of patients who will need transfusions to live.”
