Sonoma Bistro & Wine Bar Opens in Brookside



Sonoma Bistro & Wine Bar announced its opening Nov. 16 at 3523 S. Peoria in the heart of Brookside’s dining district.

Locally owned and operated by Tim Baker, owner of neighboring venue The Brasserie Restaurant & Bar, Sonoma offers Northern California-inspired cuisine in a contemporary, wine-country casual setting. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, with full bar service available nightly.

Justin Thompson, also of The Brasserie, will be the restaurant’s executive chef. Mark Sheffield will serve as general manager and Hector Najera will serve as kitchen manager.

“Sonoma offers the best of both worlds – a family-friendly atmosphere that also caters to Tulsa’s 21-and-over crowd,” Baker says. “We’re excited to be diners’ newest choice on the Brookside strip.”

Guests of Sonoma can choose from a medley of Pacific Rim, gourmet Southwest and Cal-Ital dishes, including hangar steak with gorgonzola, BBQ salmon tamale and truffled fettuccini with poached chicken. Sonoma also specializes in a variety of California-style pizzas.

The restaurant features 100 wines by the glass, including a wide assortment of New World wines. Sonoma’s wines are sourced worldwide, from California, Washington and Oregon to New Zealand, South America and Australia.
