Watch the Tigers for five minutes and you will know this team is for real.
B.A. is ranked no. 2 and as the B.A. Express goes to print, they only have one loss.
The team has looked good all season, but there was a point during the Jenks game where the tide turned for the Tigers. Just ask Sapulpa.
Senior Jake Toupal leads the team averaging almost 18 points per game. Toupal has been a leader on the team for a couple years now, but he is different this year. Head coach Rusty Stecker says Toupal’s “game has improved due to his maturing as a person. Also, he is one of the best scorers in the state, he just has a way of getting to the basket.”
A team this good is not made by just one player. “We have so many good players; Seth Dennis, Drew Howerton is the glue of our team and Tyson Reed is the most improved player by far,” boasts Stecker.
The bench rounds off the Tigers’ attack, allowing the starters quality rest, “John Gaynor, Cameron Terry and Chase Williams are all playing very well off the bench,” adds Stecker.
