Former Broken Arrow star quarterback Cale Fulps is attending Northeastern State University and is redshirting his freshman year. The GTR caught up with Fulps on the sidelines during a football game early this season.
Fulps shared a little about his freshman experience at NSU.
When asked about college life, he responds, “I love it. I love being away from home. Talequah is a great town with lots to do.”
Regarding what it means to be a redshirt freshman, Fulps explains, “We can practice and suit out for games, but we can’t compete in them.” He is the quarterback for the scout offense and says he is learning a lot.
Fulps says college athletes are different than high school athletes and he is adjusting. “The guys are a lot bigger and faster,” says Fulps.
Fulps was a three-year starter at B.A. He was a State and National Top-Gun Quarterback winner, was on the All-State team and was the no. 2 quarterback in school history.
