Bixby Community Outreach Center Forming Partnerships

There have been a variety of new partnerships between the Bixby Community Outreach Center and area businesses recently. These partnerships bring the hope of providing resources to even more individuals in need throughout Bixby.

Redeemer Covenant Church held an event to raise cash funds for Bixby Community Outreach Center recently and donated over 1,700 food items for the BCOC food pantry.

The newest business to the Bixby area, The Super Target, has also donated food items to the BCOC food pantry including fresh baked bread and pastries that clients loved.

The BCOC and the Bixby Public School Employees have teamed up to raise awareness and donations for the agency.

The First United Methodist Church of Bixby donated a new copier to BCOC. They have also provided a number of volunteers to the organization.

The Jody Burns Family donated computers to go along with the copier. This has provided the opportunity for clients to search online for jobs and build resumes at the center. It is also helping the agency become more efficient in the back office where the food pantry continues to grow based on the new clients that come to the center for help.

Sarah Bush, a senior at Bixby High School, has been busy gathering of food and toys for the BCOC. If you are interested in helping you can bring a new unwrapped toy to any home football game for the Bixby Spartans where she has a collection going. Bush is also collecting food at the Riverview Baptist Church and has brought hundreds of donations into the food pantry.

The BCOC is continuing to grow, if you would like to help call (918) 366-9226.
