GUTEN TAG EUROPE: Students in Angela Novak’s upper level German courses traveled to Germany this spring break to experience the country whose language they have learned to love.
The trip lasts March 15-30. Students from Celle, Germany visited Bixby last fall and now Bixby students will have a chance to see Celle students at home. Besides seeing the exchange students, BHS students said they were most excited to experience a new place and try different foods. Novak discovered a love for German as a student at Broken Arrow High School. Following graduation from the University of Tulsa, she took jobs teaching French in Tulsa. When a position opened at Bixby High School for a new German teacher, Novak quickly applied. With her love for the language she hopes to pass that on to her students.
