Bixby Public Schools Introduces Mealpay Plus Program

Bixby Public Schools recently announced the district is now offering MealpayPlus, an innovative service for meal accounts that has been featured on Good Morning America, CNN and in Good Housekeeping and Newsweek magazines.

MealpayPlus allows parents to create a free, secure account using their student’s ID number. Using the program’s Web site, www.mealpayplus.com, parents can put money into an account using a check, debit or credit card, which can in turn be used for their student to purchase lunch. A $2 program fee applies per family transaction. Funds deposited using MealpayPlus are usually available for use within minutes. The program aims to eliminate the need to send a check to school or worry about lost or forgotten lunch money.

BPS says students will be sent home with information so parents can learn more about Bixby’s implementation. Broken Arrow Public Schools introduced the use of MealpayPlus at the beginning of the 2007-08 school year.
