Twelve Bixby seniors participated in National Signing Day Feb. 6. On this day, high school seniors across the country signed their letters of intent, accepting athletic scholarship offers from colleges.
Those signing letters of intent included: Virginia DeWare, to play basketball at the University of Tulsa; Michael Abernathy, to play football at Missouri Southern State University; Beau Bentley, to play football at Oklahoma State University; Will Maxwell, to play football at Emporia State University; Ethan Powell, to play football at Missouri Southern State University; Trey Stead, to play football at Emporia State University; Heath Thompson, to play football at Emporia State University; Will Vining, to play football at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M; Samantha Rusk, to play soccer at the University of Central Oklahoma; Hannah Synder, to play soccer at Northeastern State University; Caleb Gorrell, to compete in swimming at the University of Evansville; and Amy Harris, to play volleyball at Seminole State Junior College.
